It’s so hard for me to believe that 6 months have gone by already. In those first few weeks I remember saying I couldn’t wait until Keegan was 6 months old and it seemed SO far way…but now it’s here!! Keegan is beginning to have lots of those “firsts” that you look forward to as your kiddos grow. This time up until 18 months or so is my absolute favorite stage. So many fun things ahead!! Despite all the drooling and gnawing he still doesn’t have any teeth, but I’m expecting a couple to pop through very soon…his bottom canine teeth…ouch! Does it mean anything that his bottom two front teeth aren’t coming in first? I’m not sure, but am looking forward to his little vampire grin.

Keegan has begun sitting up on his own, although still a bit wobbly at times. The boppy is perfect for cushioning the fall when he does topple over…

Keegan got his first boat ride now that he’s able to wear sunscreen. Don’t let the crying fool you, he was sound asleep as soon as the boat started moving.
We started cereal this week. He seems indifferent to it at this point in time, but is getting used to opening his mouth when the spoon gets close. We’ll do cereal for another week or so and then start in with veggies!! I’m contemplating making my own baby food…we’ll see. Here’s Keegan before his first bite…
Here’s a video of his first bites. I was thrilled to see how well he did…should’ve kept the camera rolling though cause I think he was just showing off. As soon as I turned it off he began keeping his mouth closed and blowing the cereal off the spoon.
