Poppa brought his bike to Texas from Colorado in hopes of getting in some good rides in warmer weather…little did he know we would have the biggest snow storm anyone has ever seen here.  Luckily, the snow finally melted and he was able to get in a few good rides.  Cohen was dying to ride on the bike with him…only problem was we didn’t have a helmet for Cohen.  Well, what do you do when trying to make a kid happy…improvise…

Well, that catches me up for now.  Off to get some sleep while I can!

Ahhhh, so sweet.  Well, unfortunately, it only appears that way.  Cohen is having a REALLY hard time adjusting to Keegan being around.  Some of the lovely things he has said about his new brother:

- “Mommy, I’m going to hit Keegan.”  (Thankfully he only said he was going to and didn’t actually do it).

- “I want to take Keegan back to the hospital.”

- After repeated reminders to Cohen to cough into his elbow and not to cough on Keegan, he went right up to him, bent down and coughed right in his face.

- Cohen was asked to do something and he said “maybe when Keegan goes home.”

- “Hold me instead of Keegan.”  In the process of lying Keegan down, Cohen says, “just throw him.”

- “I WON’T tell Keegan goodnight.”

Oh my!!  I knew it was going to be an adjustment for him, but I had no idea it was going to be this rough.  So, here’s to hoping it can only get better…

Keegan is such a good baby.  He only cries if he’s dirty or hungry and is already going about 3-4 hours between feedings.  He’s so tiny and it seems like Cohen grew like a weed while I was in the hospital.  He’s doing pretty well adjusting to having Keegan around.  One of the first things he commented on is that he can now sit in my lap and lean on me without my belly being in the way.

We have lots of help here at home and I’m so thankful for it.  It’s nice to have some extra hands to help keep Cohen occupied, Keegan held, dinners made and errands run.  I’m planning to soak up all the extra nap time I can!

I’m sure you’ve all heard about the crazy snow we’ve had this week.  It’s been lots of fun to play in…

Well, hopefully next time I post it’ll be with pictures of our newest addition!

Yeah, my thoughts exactly.

Can’t believe we’re so close now and I am definitely nesting…feeling a little overwhelmed with all of the things on my “to do” list that must be done before the baby gets here.  And you’ll be happy to know that we do have a short list of names now…no final decision has been made, but we are getting closer.

For those of you that aren’t on Facebook, I really got the urge to unleash my inner Bakerella this year.  If you aren’t familiar with Bakerella, you should totally check her out…FABULOUS!!  Here is my attempt at snowman and reindeer cake pops…

I had to work on Christmas Eve but we had planned to leave for New Mexico early Christmas Day.  As you all know, the weather had different plans for us…SNOW!!!  And in the land where it hardly ever snows there aren’t snow plows and such to clear the roads…we were delayed several hours while we waited on things to clear up.  Still took us 4 1/2 hours to get from our house to Abilene…normally a 2 hour drive!  While we killed time we took advantage of the opportunity to get Cohen out and play in his first snow…

The portable DVD player we got Cohen for Christmas was a life saver on the LONG trip!!

We finally arrived in New Mexico and began our Christmas celebration.  This year’s theme was HOLLYWOOD…and what would a HOLLYWOOD Christmas be without a celebrity costume contest!?  The celebrities on the guest list included Madonna, The Blues Brothers, The Incredibles, Wonder Woman, Dale Evans & Roy Rogers, and last but not least…Tom Cruise from Risky Buisness…

One of the best gifts from our Christmas Eve gift exchange was a Snuggie…which my sis wore with pride!

Christmas morning was lots of fun and Santa didn’t disappoint…he brought Cohen the Tony Romo helmet he had been begging for…

There was no shortage of presents for this little guy…we almost didn’t make it home with all of them for lack of space!

When Cohen wasn’t playing with his helmet or toys…he was suckering GranZ to take him in the hot tub.  Poor GranZ was a prune from being in there so long, but the kids absolutely loved it.  Cohen was begging to so swimming on Sunday morning before church and we told him once church was over he could go swimming…well, as soon as the amen was said on the closing prayer he turned to GranZ and said, “Now we can swim!”  It was too funny…

We had plans to go to Ruiodoso after our HOLLYWOOD Christmas, but the weather once again changed our plans.  We ended up meeting Opa, Oma, Nanny, Larry & Judy in Roswell for the third of our four Christmas celebrations.  I unfortunately didn’t get any pictures while we were there of the family…just one of Cohen holding up one of his presents…

After leaving Roswell, we headed to Big Spring to see my dad & Malinda and to have the last of our Christmas celebrations.  We arrived there so late I didn’t get my camera pulled out at all.  However, as soon as we arrived home the first thing we had to do was put together the cozy coupe car my dad had gotten for Cohen.  He loves it…

It was a whirl wind trip, but tons of fun!  Next year we’ll be having a Christmas Fiesta!!

Christmas cards are tons of fun to get in the mail, especially when they sing AND light up…

The holiday season also brings fun times with family.  B-Pa had a few vacation days to spare and came to see us.  Cohen had a great time playing with him…

The holiday season also means getting to eat more sweets than normal.  Oreos are especially yummy…

We had a fun time going to Dallas to see the trains at North Park Mall…

Out of all the trains they had, Thomas definitely stole the show…

We also attempted our first gingerbread house…

It probably would’ve been helpful had we read the directions thoroughly before beginning to build because this is how it ended up…

Oh well…playing with icing, candy and sprinkles is still tons of fun…

Cohen also enjoyed his first school Christmas party.  Here he is taking a look at his first Little Debbie cake…it was love at first sight…I mean, who doesn’t love those little sugar filled Christmas trees??

He actually sat on Santa’s lap and told him what he wanted for Christmas (still a Tony Romo helmet…his wish list hasn’t changed one time…hopefully Santa will deliver)!

We also made our first attempt at some Christmas sugar cookies, but playing in the flour was much more fun…

It was beautiful today so we got to spend some time playing outside…come to find out, pine needles are just as much fun to play in as leaves…

Grammee and Walt also came for a visit and we had our first of four Christmas celebrations…

Whew…we’ve been busy and this week doesn’t slow down.  Hope you all have a Merry Christmas!!  For those of you that keep up with our yearly Christmas themes…this year we’ll be having a HOLLYWOOD Christmas…should be FUN!!  More pictures are certainly in store!

Here is my 32 week pregnant belly…

We had a sonogram this past week at my OB appointment because the baby measured small last time we were there.  All looked good though and he’s right on track weighing in at 3 lbs 15 oz.  He’s got a big head just like Cohen…it was kind of funny to see.  He was also moving his mouth constantly just like Cohen…not sure I can handle two jabber boxes around.  Guess we’ll see what he’s really like once he’s born!

I’m finding myself wanting to spend as much time with just Cohen as I possibly can now.  I know it’s all going to change in a few short weeks to never be the same again.  Trying to soak up all of the little Cohen and mommy moments that I can.
