Keegan - 4 Months

Awww…my cute boy!!  Keegan is becoming less work and more fun (with the exception of sleep…but Ferberization is coming soon)!  He is laughing a lot more and is really good at squealing…it’s so fun to have a little squealing conversation with him.  He has been trying SO hard to roll from his back to his tummy but that arm just wouldn’t get out of the way…

Well, he finally made it over the other day.  Now he’s a pro, but seems to have forgotten how to roll over onto his back again.  I know it won’t be long before he is cruising all over the place.  I’m trying to enjoy these non-mobile months while I can!

He checked out great at his 4 month check up…25 1/2 inches tall (50th percentile) and 16.4 lbs (75th percentile).  Here’s my baby at 4 months (the first time I’ve thought he and Cohen are beginning to resemble one another)…

Cohen at 4 months for fun…

Around our House

Last weekend we were so blessed to have a visit from Aunt Melissa!!  We’ve missed her so much since she moved and it was SO great to have her here for a few days!  It didn’t take Keegan long to warm up to her…

And Cohen was thrilled to have her back for a few days…

She made good on a promise to take Cohen to ride the carousel at the mall…

and gave lots of love to Keegan…

Her future sister-in-law Aspen also came down for a visit while she was here.  Cohen greeted her by being shy (but that didn’t last for too long)…

The girls…

Melissa also helped to watch the boys while I was at work so we could finally get our old carpet ripped out and get our new floors put in.  (And by we I mean my wonderful hubby and our friend Brandon…I must admit I did nothing to help the process other than rip out the carpet and then supervise from there on out).

First section of carpet all rolled up…

No more nasty old carpet!!!

Looking good…

Finally done…

I love the new floors.  One more major project crossed off the list of things that have to be done to this house to get it ready to sell.  I can’t wait!!!!!

Happenings

I realized the other day that I never actually posted Keegan’s three month picture…

And Cohen at 3 months for fun…

I don’t remember what brought about this look, but it makes me smile…

Keegan’s first time in the bumbo…he obviously hadn’t had his V8 yet…

And, of course, Cohen thought he needed a turn as well…

Keegan has been trying so hard to roll from his back to tummy, but that arm just gets right in the way.  I feel bad for him once he gets to this position because he gets so frustrated…

Second attempt in the bumbo…still on a lean…

My boys before church this past Sunday…

It has been SO hot the past few days, which definitely calls for popsicles and sprinklers…

We started potty training Cohen this past Thursday.  Overall he has done great.  With the exception of the second day in, he has had an accident each day, but no “code browns” (as we refer to them in the nursing world) as of yet.  It’s really funny because he is so excited to let us know what color it was and if it floated or sunk.  Ahhhh…life with kiddos!  I’m just excited to not be buying him diapers any more.

New York, New York

Christian is passing his love of New York City and Frank Sinatra on to Cohen. It also helps that Madagascar is partially set in NYC and they sing New York, New York in the movie.

Keegan - 3 Months

These three months have, of course, flown by.  Keegan is smiling and cooing a lot more and will let out a few giggles from time to time.  He rolled over for the first time the other day!  He watches Cohen constantly.  He also loves the TV…it doesn’t matter where he is, if the TV is on, he is trying to get a look at it.  He loves taking a bath, which is great cause it can usually calm him down if he’s being fussy.  He has adorable chunky thighs.  He is liking tummy time more and is getting really good at holding up his head.  I’ll probably pull the bumbo down from the attic pretty soon and see how he does.  He’s growing up SO fast!!

He always has his hands in his mouth.  He’d put his whole fist in if his mouth were big enough…

Here’s a video of his third roll over… (I wasn’t expecting the first one and didn’t have the camera ready in time for the second one!)
